I’m Alex. I’m a storyteller, filmmaker, photographer, and creative lead focused on exploration, adventure, and the landscapes that make people feel small in the best possible way. For the last decade, I’ve worked professionally in storytelling and creative marketing within the outdoor industry, helping shape campaigns, editorial strategy, and brand narratives designed to connect people with the outdoors. Over time, that work expanded beyond writing and into photography, filmmaking, and visual storytelling. Today, my work spans multiple mediums, but the core idea behind all of it remains the same: Adventure is out there, you just have to find it. That belief has led me deep into remote canyons, onto forgotten trails, across desert landscapes, and into stories hidden just beyond the places most people stop looking. Through my YouTube channel, Adventure Alex, I create cinematic outdoor films centered around modern exploration — blending adventure, curiosity, and storytelling into experiences that feel immersive, human, and real. Along the way, my photography and video work has generated over half a billion views globally through platforms like Pexels, while my creative work has been recognized through awards, publications, and collaborations across film, photography, and digital media. The Last Letters of Theodore Roosevelt: In January of 2019—exactly 100 years after Theodore Roosevelt’s death—the Library of Congress released the single largest presidential archives to the public. 300,000 letters, speeches, and muses were available overnight. Already fascinated by the life of Roosevelt, I began reading the letters…and didn’t stop. Entranced by being the first person in over 100 years to see the personal words of a larger-than-life historical character, I read over 10,000 of his letters, transcribing my favorite. The transcriptions grew into a full-length collection. Along the way, I dug into the recipient of each letter, and found that Theodore was casually communicating with barons of Japan, lords of England, world-famous biologists, explorers, writers, and a host of other interesting individuals.
