Spring Escape

  • Role: Lead Writer

  • Backcountry.com is a billion-dollar, online, outdoor retailer. I’ve worked with Backcountry for over 3 years, this is just one of hundreds of projects.

The Long:

While a majority of Backcountry’s customers love winter, everyone’s excited when the season starts to change and the snow begins to melt. To take advantage of a long winter’s exit, we positioned messaging to escape the snow for an early spring adventure. This campaign was presented in email, social, and blog channels.

Emails:

Not wanting to focus on specific products, we leveraged men’s/women’s styles and broader categories for CTA and callouts. Using fresh influencer imagery, I shaped the copy to the style of the photography.

Social:

I worked with my merchandise and visual merchandise partners to find relevant, in-stock products that customers could use on their spring escapes. Here I highlight a few with some added flavor text.

Article:

Wanting to give more to the customer, and having just come off a road trip of my own, I wrote a long-form article detailing everything you’d need to go on your own adventure. I worked with our merch team again to find relevant products to sprinkle into the experience boosting SEO and click-through rates. Here’s the full article if you’re planning a road trip.

While you’re here…

Stay a while and check out my personal projects.
