GORE-TEX Winter Collection

  • Role: Lead Writer
    Mission: Inspire, Inform, Stoke Hype

  • Backcountry.com is a billion-dollar, online, outdoor retailer. I’ve worked with Backcountry for over 3 years, this is just one of hundreds of projects.

The Long:

GORE-TEX is the name of the game when it comes to chasing pursuits in the rain or snow. Backcountry partnered up with the legendary brand to make four new, high-end winter kits. My mission was to relay each of the kit’s specific benefits to the customer while keeping their head above the ever-deepening jargon soup.

Landing Page:

The landing page features a tab for each of the new styles: Cottonwoods, Cardiac, Notchtop, and Tabernash. Each kit contains a jacket and pants. Everything is of the highest quality, with each stitch being a purposeful detail adding to the customer’s outdoor experience. We want to be a part of their biggest days in the snow, but we also strive to keep it all simple. Each tab follows the same formula, here’s one.

Email:

I worked with the designer to keep these emails premium, yet informative. We put space, margins, and product callouts to our advantage in order to keep the copy tight and succinct.

Social:

Customers responded well to our new, high-quality kits. The new style shaped by the premium feel of the social added to the excitement. Each kit got a dedicated post.

Enjoy the new kits? You’ll love the Summer Gear Guide.

You’re here anyway, might as well take a look.
